What Does a Mercedes-Benz Oil Change Include?

• If you have a 2009 model year or newer, get the Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement* as a component of Mercedes-Benz Service A or Mercedes-Benz Service B
• For model years 2008 and older, an oil change (when not part of Mercedes-Benz Service A or Mercedes-Benz Service B)
• Complete Oil Filter Replacement* using genuine parts
• Recycle the old filter

Synthetic Oil vs. Regular Oil

What’s the difference between synthetic oil and regular oil? Well, synthetic oil consists of a base oil, powder additives, and a carrier oil that distributes the additives evenly. It’s similar to regular oil in that it’s made from refined crude oils. The refining of the oils is the main difference between the two. Synthetic oil is refined, distilled, purified, and broken down at the molecular level. When you choose Mercedes-Benz Service A and Mercedes-Benz Service B intervals you’ll get a Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement and Oil Filter Replacement.
