Drive cautiously on Halloween
Halloween is one of the most anticipated holidays of the year for many children (and adults, too). Unfortunately, it is also one of the most dangerous nights for pedestrians to be hit while crossing the street. Safety organizations like the NHTSA and AAA recommend drivers take preventative measures, including:
- Slowing down in residential areas
- Watching for children on sidewalks and yards who may suddenly enter the road
- Always yielding for pedestrians
- Avoiding distractions like cellphone use
Swap to winter tires
St. Louis gets a fair amount of snowfall each winter, and can be bitter cold. Winter tires offer the best traction on snow and ice. If you use all-season tires, check the tread now, before the first snow, and replace them if needed.
Schedule a service appointment with Mercedes-Benz of St. Louis, and we can inspect your tires, and mount and balance a new set that will keep you safe for another season.
