Mercedes-Benz Service A and Mercedes-Benz Service B are both vital service intervals, but how do these service intervals differ? While both cover crucial tasks, you’ll find differences between the Mercedes-Benz Service A checklist and the Mercedes-Benz Service B checklist. Mercedes-Benz of St. Louis’s service team gets into what sets these service intervals apart in our guide below!
Mercedes-Benz Service A* is performed after 10,000 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. Service A service intervals typically include:
Adhere to all required elements listed by model year and specific model as indicated on the corresponding service sheet for Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Systems in the USA.
Mercedes-Benz Service B* is performed at 2 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. At the time of your Service B appointment, your vehicle will receive:
Adhere to all required elements listed by model year and specific model as indicated on the corresponding service sheet for Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Systems in the USA.
As noted above, Mercedes-Benz Service A and Mercedes-Benz Service B are due at different times— with Service A due 1 year or 10,000 miles and Service B is due at 2 years or 20,000 miles, whichever occurs first. What’s more, during Service B, your vehicle will receive a cabin air filter replacement and a brake fluid replacement, along with some GLA AMG® and CLA models receiving an engine air filter replacement.
